Inauguration of the EOKA 1955–59 Fighters Monument

The Community Council of Pyrgos invites you to the inauguration of the «EOKA 55-59 Fighters Monument».

The inauguration will be performed by the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr Nikos Christodoulides. A memorial service will be held by His Grace the Bishop of Amathous.

Saturday 10 October 2026, 12:00 noon, at the site of the monument.

Discounts on the refuse tax

Pensioners (over 65 years of age), large families (all children under 18, unless the eldest is in full-time study) and single-child households are asked to bring the necessary supporting documents so that the corresponding discounts may be applied, by 30 September 2026, in respect of the refuse tax.

Water supply interrupted in the village due to a fault

We inform you that the water supply in the village will be interrupted because of a fault. Efforts are under way to repair it.

Tender for the accounting work of the Pyrgos School Board

Tenders are invited for the accounting work of the Pyrgos School Board, covering all of the following:

1. Payment of the School Board’s invoices
2. Receiving and sending email
3. Drafting the School Board’s correspondence
4. Preparation and payment of salaries and Social Insurance contributions
5. Preparation of the returns for the school escorts and the All-Day School programme for the Ministry
6. Preparation of the budget
7. Preparation of the contracts of escorts and School Board staff
8. Bookkeeping
9. Maintenance of the income and expenditure accounting software
10. Closing the year’s books

Offers are accepted until 18 September 2026 at 12:00 noon, at the Offices of the Community Council, in the tender box.

Road works

We inform you that tomorrow, Wednesday 2 September 2026, road works will be carried out on Rigainas Street as far as the reservoirs, Vasili Michailidi Street and 28is Oktovriou Street as far as the bridge, and we ask that no vehicles be left parked there.
